FruitMeasureStick
FruitMeasureApp requires the FruitMeasureStick. This accessory attaches to the smartphone and provides a reference scale, enabling accurate estimation of apple size. Print it with a 3D printer and assemble it following the guide.
Try FruitMeasureApp
- Download the app and start measuring fruit size directly from your smartphone.
- You can try the app with test images, without needing to print the support or capture images in the field. Download them at the following link:
Explore the AI model
- The application integrates a convolutional neural network (CNN) for fruit detection.
- A geometric calibration using the reference marker located at the end of the FruitMeasureStick enables accurate fruit measurement.
- The CNN has been trained using images of 4,500 fruits collected over four growing seasons (2023–2026).
- It allows users to select between two estimation models: Cluster (small fruits growing in clusters) and Fruit (for individual apples).
